LYP requires a 50% non-refundable deposit and signatures from primary and secondary via contract at the time of booking to secure the special date.

What does LYP require to book?

In the event that client(s) cancels, at the time of booking, the proposal states that the deposit is non-refundable. Unfortunately, the client(s) will not receive any type of cash, check, or any other source of payment for a refund. The retainer is to reserve your date and once it is reserved, LYP does not accept new clients for your date.

If we cancel the wedding, will we receive our retainer fee back?

LYP requires a 50% non-refundable deposit and signatures from the primary client and secondary client via contract at the time of booking to secure the special date.


LYP will respond to the client(s) inquiry form within 48 hours after submitting it.LYP will let the client(s) know via email right away whether LYP is available for the event date and would love to hop on a phone call to chat more about the client(s) vision and plans for the event day. From there, if LYP and the client(s) are a great fit for one another, LYP will send over more information about services via email. We can then chat about the budget if need be and details to start the booking process.

What is LYP's booking process?

No. LYP does not share RAW/unedited images.

Does LYP provide RAW images too?

While LYP is based in Wisconsin, LYP serves clients all around the world.

Does LYP travel and/or do destination weddings?

LYP understands that not everything goes as planned during a wedding. We never pack up before the contracted time, and moreover, LYP will not leave on the dot when the contracted time is up. Instead, will ask you at the end of your contracted time whether or not you would like to extend. If you would like LYP to stay, LYP will charge the rates specified in your contract.

What happens if we go over the contracted amount of time?

This is taken on a case-by-case basis. The reason for canceling and LYP availability are taken into account. If rates change from your original date to your new date, the new rates will apply.

If we change our wedding to a different date, will we be able to use our retainer fee towards a future date?

LYP has never lost an image from a wedding due to the following backup workflow for each of LYP's events:
During the event, LYP shoots on two cards at the same time. This instantly creates a backup of every image in the camera. Afterward, LYP separates the primary cards from the backup cards, should anything happen to one set. LYP then backs up the images to an offsite hard drive. At any given point before delivery of the images, there are two copies of the files in separate locations.

Does LYP back up our images? How can we ensure that our images won’t be lost?

You have the right to reprint images whenever you want. However, you may not sell your images for profit or publish your images without the written consent of Lisa Young Photography.
